Our ice cream is made in small batches from scratch in a commercial kitchen in historic Sherman Hill district right in the heart of Des Moines, IA. We use quality high butterfat Iowa milk and cream and add in house-made ingredients like toffee cookie crumbles, slow-simmered blueberries, and melt-in-your-mouth chocolate stracciatella.
We love churnin’ out new flavor combos but also love classics like crushed Oreo cookies. We’re always creating new flavor ideas so make sure you get a scoop before your favorite flavor disappears!
In addition to ice cream, we offer ice cream beverages like soda floats featuring award-winning Iowa root beer and our version of the Italian affogato (cold and hot espresso coffee options!) using our vanilla ice cream. There’s something just perfect about an ice cream beverage topped with real house-made whipped cream in your hand while you stroll through a farmer’s market.
When available, make sure to grab our signature ButterOO Chocolate Chip Cookie made with real butter and olive oil that’s crispy, chewy, chocolatey, sweet, and salty in all the right places.
